Next image: So I decided to visit Death Valley for sunset in July during the hottest week of the summer so far! Not a cloud in the sky so I decided to wait for the sun to hit the horizon to test out the sun star on my newest lens. The Canon RF 15-35L f/2.8 So far so good. But will have to work with it some more to be sure. 😉 📷: @canonusa EOS R
Previous image: Thinking of dark skies led me to think about heading to Death Valley in July to catch the Comet! I had a few ideas of locations that I was going to goto. We decided to go check out the mud cracks first. And the hike across the desert at 8:15pm and the air temps at 114F with a hot 20mph wind! It was like a blast furnace. So other plans for other locations were aborted. Since it’s a good 30-40min hike that looks like a 10 min hike. And you can never have enough water. It’s called Death Valley for a reason. !! I will say it was really cool time watching the comet race to the horizon and definitely worth the effort!! We got back to our car to head home at midnight. It was still 103F!!!
