Next image: Abstract from the archives! These are dried mud cracks from the floor of Death Valley. It’s amazing how much color the camera can capture. It’s also fun to use a few editing tools to find them. Of course one could say the dried mud doesn’t really look like that to the naked eye. But I also suppose that’s subjective as every eye sees things a little bit different.
Previous image: Keeping the Big Sur theme going another day. When I posted yesterday’s set I knew I was forgetting an image or two. Then I remembered Pfeiffer Rock. This is an amazing spot to watch the sunset. At certain times of the year the sun sets through the keyhole! I took this a few years ago and it was hard to find a place to park on highway 1. I can only imagine what it’s like now. Fortunately it’s a fairly large area so if everyone spreads out and is kind to each other there is plenty of time to get photos.
