Catching the Light
The juxtaposition of shadow and light in this landscape holds a little extra meaning for me these days. The darkness reminds me of life’s added uncertainty and the many unknowns we’re all collectively facing right now.
And those patches of light feel like hope. After all, the sun still rises each day. I’ve noticed increasing numbers of birds singing their songs and building their nests. Both Mother Nature—and life in general—are moving along.
And see that tiny, dark speck in roughly the center of the photo? That is a man putting one foot in front of the other. Although it seems as if he could be miles and miles away, he was actually only about five minutes away when I captured this image. I’m inspired to persevere no matter what. I hope you are, too.
